  • Summer Library - This summer the East library will be open at select times on Tuesdays in June (9am-12:30pm) and Mondays/Tuesdays (varied hours) in July for students to check out books and take Accelerated Reader tests.  Summer library times will be posted on the school website. We hope to see our students out here getting some good books to read!

Please note 5th grade students transitioning to UJHS and current UJHS students are not able to take AR tests over the summer.

  • Summer Packets: Each student received a summer packet with activities selected by teachers at East. We hope that a few review and practice pages each week can help students retain important reading and math skills they learned this year and keep them ready for next year. These packets are optional.

As an incentive, students that complete their summer packet and turn it in get to enjoy an epic reward party with pizza, ice cream, and an extra-long recess once we’re back in August!

  • Our character education throughout the year is framed as the “Rocket R’s.” One student from each class was recognized as having demonstrated excellent character at school during the fourth quarter. Congratulations to our 4th Quarter SOAR Award winners:

    • K: Bentley Benjamin & Avery Fogerson

    • 1st: Misha McInnis

    • 2nd: Emerie Germano, Myla Cunningham, & Abby Ruhter

    • 3rd: Chloe Compton & Molly White

    • 4th: Ellie Butzow & Brooklyn Weaver

    • 5th: Peyton Neighbors & Jace Revell

  • Congratulations to our top three readers in each grade level! These students received medals for their Accelerated Reader accomplishments this year.

  • Registration and back-to-school information will be mailed to families and posted on the school website in mid-July. Families with returning students will be able to complete a fully-online registration, beginning July 29, while in-person registration for new families will take place on Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1, by appointment.

  • Save the Date: Whether your child is returning or new to our school, we hope everyone can join us at our Back-to-School Open House on Monday, August 12, from 5:30-7:00pm. It will be a fun evening to meet teachers, drop off supplies, and enjoy seeing our school community!

Have a great summer!
