The sun is shining! Now we wait in great anticipation for the warmer weather. Please read the following updates for UJHS.
Illinois Assessment of Readiness Testing: State testing begins Monday, April 4 for all UJHS students. Please make sure that students are at school, on-time each day during testing week. Make-ups are very difficult and result in missed class time for students to complete this required assessment. Please schedule appointments accordingly.
Sixth and seventh grades will IAR test on April 4, 5, and 6
Eighth grade will IAR test on April 4, 5, and 6 and participate in the Illinois Science Assessment on April 20, 21, and 22.
Important details and changes during the testing week:
- Students who arrive late will not be admitted to testing. They will wait in the office until the testing schedule is completed.
- Students who take their Chromebooks home will need to have them at school and fully charged for testing week.
- Students must have their earbuds with them each day.
- Please remind your students to check an AR book and bring the book to school during testing week.
Incredible Edible Festival and Book Fair: Thank you to all of the families who participated in the Incredible Edible Festival. We had sixty-six entries this year! The book fair was a huge success. Thank you for your support of the UJHS library!
Progress Reports: Progress reports will be available on April 22. Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to check Information Now, Google Classroom and/or communicate with your child’s teacher(s) if you have concerns about grades or student progress. There is still time in the quarter for students to improve grades.
