In honor of Veterans Day Unity Junior High School is collecting approved items to take to Danville VA in December. The collection will take place from November 11 through December 16. Needed and approved items to to donate to the VA are posted in Parent Documents at ujhs.com. Erika Hiser is the UJHS faculty member leading this effort. Wear orange on Wednesday, October 19 to celebrate Unity Day, a day to unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. After school events are planned for that day, including a 1-mile fun run, music, games, and dinner and dessert available from Smith Burger and Sidney Dairy Barn! Parent Teacher Conferences: Parent-teacher conference night is October 20 from 3:00-9:30 pm. Conference information was sent to parents emails on October 7. Visit UJHS.com to sign up with your student's teachers. The district has set aside October 20 from 3:00 to 9:30 for conferences. Parent-teacher conference night is another opportunity to bridge the connection between home and school.
